Dotlich and team top BIg Blue 87-75

Elmhurst College men's basketball team snagged an 87-75 win over Milikin to improve their record to 19-5 overall and 10-5 in the CCIW to celebrate Senior Day.

Senior Derek Dotlich celebrated by scoring a season-high 26 points for the Bluejays.

The first basket was scored by the Big Blue, but they would not take the lead again. The Bluejays ended the half with a 12-5 run to head into the locker rooms at 49-33.

Early in the second half, the Bluejays hit their groove and got into a 21 point lead. The Big Blue came close to the Bluejays in the second half coming back with a 68-62 score. The Bluejays fought back with a 13-4 run to get their lead back up.

Following Dotlich was Jay Militello with a career best 20 points, Dominic Genco with 15 points, Lavon Thomas with nine, and Jonathan Zapinski with eight.

Seniors Adam Castro, Derek Dotlich, Brad Hubly, Will Lyles, and Ryan Patton were honored.

The Bluejays will end their regular season play against Carroll University on Wednesday, February 19.
