Bluejays hit the course at CCIW Championship

The Bluejays traveled down south to Rock Island to compete in the 2019 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championships (CCIW) on Saturday, November 2.

The men took home an eighth place finish in the CCIW while the women took home third.

The men totaled 233 points to finish eighth. Cristain Sanchez was the first to finish for the Bluejays with a time of 27:15 and 40th place. Sanchez was followed by Randy Almarales in 50th place with a time of 27:34.8.

On the women’s side, the women totaled 87 points to get third. Emily Galligan got a seventh place finish with a time of 23:03.5. Galligan also took home an All-Conference Honor. Jami Lessila was right behind Galligan with an eighth place finish. Just behind those two was Elita Spadlowski with a 19th place finish with a time of 23:28.4 and second-team all-conference.

EC will run again at the 2019 NCAA Midwest Regional on November 16.
