Chicago Bears fans continue getting let down this season

The Chicago Bears have spent numerous seasons struggling to succeed, with this one being no different, according to angry Bears fan Jack Roback.

“We have been trying to “rebuild” the team since 85’ and nothing is working,” said Roback. 

Another year, another letdown. Starting with week one, the Bears were brought up against their most competitive and longest rival the Green Bay Packers. 

Justin Fields, the team’s quarterback, was sacked a total of 4 times that game, along with only rushing 59 yards on 9 carries the entire length of the game. 

The Packers scored two touchdowns in a span of 56 seconds, embarrassing the Bears, who could not bounce back afterward. 

Bears fan, Bart Gorlo, expressed his thoughts on the stressful the season. 

”I think, mentally, them never being able to beat the Packers got to their heads and brought them down even more,” Gorlo said.

The last time the Bears won against Green Bay was back in 2018. 

Following week two, the Bears achieved another defeat this time against the​​ Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team scored 17 points with the Buccaneers following by scoring 27 points against the Bears. 

From the defensive end, the Bears were not able to complete a sack, nor were they able to take away any third or fourth downs; this was the second week they were not able to do this. 

Matt Eberflus, the Bears head coach, reported believing the team is improving and fighting harder each week, but it is still not enough for the team to win. 

Gorlo also mentioned that during week two, “It looked like they were close to winning, they were scoring and defending so they started off better.”  However, they still were not able to achieve the win they were hoping for. 

Every Sunday, Bears fans get themselves excited, hoping for a win, yet are constantly let down each week. 

Back in 2021, Fields was drafted by the Chicago Bears. Bears fans finally thought that they had their quarterback and things would take a turn for the better for the team. Unfortunately, fans got their hopes up too quickly.

The question that Bears fans continue to ask themselves is “Why can’t we just win?” 

Is it coaching? The franchise? The team’s owners — the McCaskey’s? The offense? The defense?

“It’s going to have to start with the McCaskey’s, then work their way down,” Roback stated.
