Langhorst Field’s ongoing renovations, including additional seating, restrooms, and a “welcoming plaza and pavilion,” are expected to be completed in April, per Glen Brittich, director of athletics at Elmhurst University.

The project, which began at the end of the 2024-2025 academic year, is part of a $55.3 million renovation to various parts of campus. Brittich did not disclose a price estimate for specifically the stadium renovation. Part of the project was financed by donations from EU’s “Elmhurst 150” campaign, as well as “existing institutional funds.”

Brittich stated, “we’re always looking for opportunities to enhance our athletic facilities, as well as our academic and residential buildings, grounds and other components of our campus infrastructure.”

He believes the renovation will “enhance the comfort, accessibility and overall experience for our student-athletes, students, and Elmhurst Bluejay fans.”
