My Take: My Life With the Walter Boys

Published by Emelia D’Anniballe on September 24, 2025

If you like dramas with a smidge of comedy, “My Life With the Walter Boys” is just for you.

Jackie Howard (Nikki Rodriguez), is the daughter of famous fashion designers, and who moves from New York City to Colorado after the tragic death of her parents and sisters. She goes to live with her mother’s longtime friend, Katherine Walter (Sarah Rafferty), and her family, the Walters.

The acting really helps you believe the emotions the characters have. The family consists of parents Katherine Walter and George Walter (Marc Blucus) and ten boys and one girl. Cole, Alex, Danny, Nathan, Will, Jordan, Benny, Parker, Issac, and Lee. The actors have a great sibling connection displayed on screen.

Following the success of Season 1, Season 2 premiered on Aug 28. The first episode of this season, “Start Fresh,” was strong and gave a great start to Season 2.

The plot of the episode is set back in New York City, Jackie learns that picking up where she left off with the Walters will not be easy, especially with Alex and Cole, played by Ashby Gentry and Naoh LaLonde.

All of these things are good, but there is one thing that is a double-edged sword. If you missed season 1, there is a recap at the beginning of episode 1. However, the plot is confusing for people who haven’t watched it before.

The episode was interesting, and the show is very engaging. Enjoy!

“My Life With the Walter Boys” is a Netflix original series that originally premiered in 2023 and was created by Becky Hartman Edwards.
