Bluejays ring in first football victory

Elmhurst University football rang the victory bell on Langhorst Field in a 28–7 win against Millikin University on Oct. 9. 

The first quarter ended 0–0 until Winston Brown, EU wide receiver, caught a 37 yard pass from Noah Henkle, quarterback, leading the score up to 7–0.

Bluejays kept the momentum up in the third quarter with a 23 yard fumble recovery by Bryce Gable, linebacker, earning the team a touchdown running the score up to 14–0.

Milikin recovered in the third quarter with a 74 yard pass to Antonio Brown, Milikin wide receiver, and brought the score up to 14–7. 

Bluejays wrapped up the third quarter with a 23 yard pass from Henkle, getting the score to 21–7. 

The fourth quarter was put to an end when Henkle carried a 19 yard run to a touchdown bringing the final score up to 28–7. 

Elmhurst University will play at North Central College on Oct. 16.
