Taylor Swift and her ‘Fearless’ release bring listeners back to 2008
After 13 years, Taylor Swift dropped her highly anticipated re-recording of her 2008 sophomore album, “Fearless,” now titled “Fearless (Taylor’s Version).”
On the re-recorded album, Swift features 26 tracks, clocking the album in at over an hour long. The album includes six new songs from “the vault” that didn’t make the cut in 2008, including collaborations with country artists Maren Morris and Keith Urban. The album also features the new versions of her hit songs “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story.”
The lyrics and melodies remained the same in the re-recording, the most notable difference being her voice, cover art, six bonus tracks, and Swift having 100 percent ownership over her music.
Swift began re-recording Fearless in Nov. 2020, per the contract in place after music manager Scooter Braun purchased her master recordings in 2019 and sold them to Shamrock Holdings.
Swift plans on re-recording all six of her albums with the masters belonging to Braun. Fans speculate her 2014 album “1989” is the next album to be re-released this year because the re-recorded version of “Wildest Dreams” is featured in the Spirit Untamed cartoon movie trailer.
Bridgerton’s swoon factor Rejé-Jean Page announces he will not be returning for season two
Lady Whistledown was beaten to the presses when Rejé-Jean Page, who plays Simon Basset the Duke of Hastings, announced on April 2, he would not be returning to the second season of the Netflix original series “Bridgerton.”
Page took to Instagram to announce his departure with a farewell message to fans and the cast after playing the role of the Duke for the show's first season.
“The ride of a lifetime,” Page wrote under a photo of him riding a horse on set. “It’s been an absolute pleasure and a privilege to be your Duke.”
The Duke quickly became a fan favorite of the series and fans were devastated to hear he wouldn’t be returning. Although, given the nature of the second season following Viscount Anthony Bridgerton and his quest to find a wife, it’s possible the Duke makes an appearance in future seasons.
