Vanessa Hudgens Put The Final Nail In The Coffin For Her Career

The 31-year-old actress sparked outrage after posting various photos of her at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in New York. Hudgens’ first series of photos she posted were of her twirling around the cemetery, wearing head-to-toe black with a caption that read “Happy place” along with the black heart emoji.

Social media users responded with comments such as “Why would you pose in a cemetery and post 'happy place?' Bruh” and “TONE DEAF.” The actress later changed the caption to her post to “Searching for that headless horseman.”

However, Hudgens largely ignored the backlash because she continued to post a second series of photos in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery with the caption “What. A. Beautiful. Place.” The hate comments continued to pour in with one user in particular commenting “Clearly you have never been to a burial. It’s not a happy place for anyone.”

Vanessa directly responded to that user in the comments section by saying, “I buried my father in a cemetery. I love cemeteries. They’re beautiful. Especially that one. It’s historical and I love history.” This prompted supporters to agree with her and some brought to light photos of other people posing in the famous cemetery.

This is not the first time the High School Musical star caused controversy this year. At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hudgens was dragged online after saying on an Instagram live stream “Even if everybody gets it, like yeah, people are going to die, which is terrible... but inevitable?” Vanessa, please take this time to practice keeping your mouth shut. We have had enough.

First Look: Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman

On Oct.12, the actress was spotted in character as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman while filming in the U.K. FIlming for The Batman resumed on Sept. 17, after reports surfaced that fellow star, Robert Pattinson had tested positive for Coronavirus. Kravitz can be seen looking powerful in head-to-toe leather. This is a clever nod to Catwoman’s costume that also consists of complete leather. The Batman has experienced several premiere date pushbacks due to the pandemic, but currently it is set to premiere on March 4, 2022. Judging by this photo, we can’t wait.

Shawn Mendes’ “In Wonder” Coming to Netflix

Mendes Army rejoice! Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes dropped the trailer for his documentary on Oct. 13.

The three-minute trailer shows us that the documentary will focus on his life and work from the past couple of years. This is not Mendes’ first venture into the film world.

In 2018, Mendes partnered with YouTuber Casey Neistat to release a short-film for Neistat’s channel following Mendes on the release of his self titled LP, “Shawn Mendes.” And this past month, The Shawn Mendes Foundation (SMF) partnered with the Toronto International Film Festival to launch the SMF Changemaker Award. This is an award that according to the foundation’s Facebook page is “focused on social change & issues important to youth.”

“In Wonder” will come to Netflix on Nov. 23, just ahead of his fourth album’s “Wonder” Dec. 4 release date.
