Times are apparently tough for the Elmhurst University theatre department. It was announced that the next show put on by the department will be a sock puppet show.
Audience members will have their socks checked at the door, and those with the most impressive designs are expected to donate them to the show.
It is anticipated that these sock puppet shows will bring community attention to the theatre program, hopefully bringing funding needed for non-sock shows.
Theatre attendees, be prepared to give back to the university. Be prepared for it to be a bit smelly as well.
