The “Victorious” Spin-off Is on its way: Will Trina Vega Finally Have Her Main Character Moment?

Published by Emelia D’Anniballe on December 4, 2025

This is not a drill! The classic Nickelodeon show “Victorious” is coming back for a second life.

In October, it was announced that a “Victorious” spinoff called “Hollywood Arts” had started production and will premiere in spring 2026 on Netflix. “Hollywood Arts” will focus on struggling artist Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) returning to her high school, Hollywood Arts, as a substitute teacher.

Other than Monet, none of the other original actors are confirmed to make an appearance yet, but fans are hoping for future cameos.

It may be particularly hard to get Leon Thomas III and Ariana Grande. Thomas has been nominated for a Grammy and has a successful singing career. As for Grande, she is too successful for “Hollywood Arts” at this time.

No character names have been given out yet, but the actors have been announced. These actors and actresses include Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze, and Martin Kamm.

Other than the cast, the network the show will be aired on is different. The original run of “Victorious” was on Nickelodeon from 2010-2013; now it will be on Netflix. This change will affect the content of the show.

The original creator of “Victorious,” Dan Schneider, included underhanded sexual connotations and fetishism throughout his series. Now with a new network, viewers are hoping that the content of “Hollywood Arts” veers from that.

Various Nickelodeon stars, such as Alexa Nikolas (Zoey 101), Jeanette McCurdy (iCarly), and even Monet, spoke up against Schneider beginning in the 2010s. It’s hopeful since everyone around the world was made aware of Schneider’s habits, that situations won’t recur.

Old school “Victorious” fans are excited to see what “Hollywood Arts” has to offer, and what is kept and what is changed.
