An Obituary for 67

Published by Bentley Barrington on November 18, 2025

Six Seven was less than a year old, of Reels, Instagram, and hopefully dead by now.

Six Seven was born in March in Reels, Instagram, the child of Skrilla. Six Seven graduated from Doot Doot high school, did not attend higher education, but earned the honor of being the dumbest meme of all time. Six Seven had little-to-no meaning at all.

Plausibly, Six Seven could be a reference to anything from 67th street in Chicago, to the police code 10-67. Yet, Skrilla himself claimed to never mean anything by saying “Six Seven.” Six Seven fortunately had died in vain. Six Seven was heavily compared to “Skibbidi Toilet Rizz,” another example of slang that not only pisses people off, but also confuses them. Six Seven worked hard to do so.

Originating from the Skrilla song, and going viral in a basketball clip. Six Seven was always being accompanied by the motion of hands teetering on a scale. Six Seven particularly loved it when Natasha Bedingfield started screaming “six seven” while Skrilla continued to rap “Doot Doot.” As well as when Sen. Ted Cruz, teachers, and other traditionally “uncool” people dressed as it for Halloween.

Six Seven never should have existed, but is survived by eight-year-old kids, and the freaking kid who made that gesture. Please God, make it stop.
